The scheme is being delivered by VINCI Construction UK who secured the scheme following the insolvency of Carillion Construction. Part of the works had been constructed by other contractors prior to the VINCI/ACS subcontract which meant that we worked with VINCI to agree a baseline from which future works should be measured from. This was a collaborative approach which mitigated future risk for both parties.

The foundation works entailed excavation and concreting of 2.5m deep trenches throughout the footprint of each building. This generated circa 6000m3 of spoil. We have a very strong and diverse supply chain which was key in ensuring sufficient supply of FND2 concrete throughout the mass fill foundation works. We would expect to pour between 50-80m3 of concrete per day, every day, for 10 weeks. The Tubosider Attenuation System consisted of 3 x 1m corrugated steel pipes at 2.5m deep. The attenuation system ran directly through the site which meant ACS was required to liaise with other trades. ACS followed the contract programme requirements and managed to hit each key date.
