Battery energy storage systems are a growing cornerstone of the UK’s energy infrastructure.

Our teams take on responsibility for the entire build, from site preparation through to commissioning readiness.
Scope typically includes compound construction, foundation systems, containment and ducting, fire and thermal protection measures, substation interfaces, and grid connection works.
We work closely with client-side programme leads, DNOs, ICPs, OEMs and commissioning teams to ensure that the build progresses in a way that meets energisation milestones.
On every project, we pay close attention to site-specific factors too.
Space constraints, thermal zoning, fire protection, HV and LV integration and grid interface requirements all shape how a battery storage project is built. Our delivery teams understand these factors and plan construction accordingly.
Flexible Delivery Models
We can act as principal contractor on standalone BESS projects or as a delivery partner within larger EPC or framework programmes. Our teams are used to operating across both models and understand the different requirements of each.
On principal contractor projects, we manage all on-site delivery, trade coordination, CDM responsibilities and interface management. On EPC-led programmes, we integrate closely with client teams to provide targeted delivery expertise and support.
In either role, our focus remains the same. Deliver a safe, compliant and technically sound project, aligned to the programme and ready for commissioning.
